Hi, I’m Ria, aka safetyorange, aka 張日雯 ZHANG Riwen
Riwen Zhang (Ria) is a Hong Kong-based artist and animator focusing on moving images and abstract animation. Her work explores the experimental interactions between sound and visuals, as well as live visual performances. Through a straightforward yet poetic approach, she examines the abstract nature of reality, transforming concrete subjects into abstract visual language. Her research interest centers on the fluidity of personal identity in relation to geography and memory, as well as the survival space of abstraction in a narrative-driven world.
Zhang graduated from City University of Hong Kong with a Master’s degree in Creative Media Arts.
張日雯現居於香港，專注於以動態影像和抽象動畫作為主要創作媒介，探索實驗不同媒體間的互動關係，如聲音與影像的交融、現場視覺表演等。她以直白而富有詩意的方式探討現實世界的抽象性，將具象事物轉化為抽象的圖像語言。
張的創作主要關注個人身份認同的流動性及其與地域和私人記憶之間的聯繫，以及單純的抽象視覺在以敘述性為主導的現實世界中的存活空間。
她於畢業於香港城市大學，取得創意媒體藝術碩士學位。
